Bajaj to launch Ninja on Oct.7th

As we reported earlier, Bajaj is now set to launch Kawasaki Ninja on October 7th. Bajaj has announced this news officially. It is expected that the new Ninja would be launched in Pune with affordable price to have great competition with Indian super bikes!

New Discover to be launched by Bajaj on 12th July

The known news from Bajaj is that Bajaj has planned to launch six bikes in six months. This year Bajaj has already launched XCD 135, Pulsar 150cc DTS-i, Pulsar 180cc DTS-i upgrades and the recent fastest Indian bike Pulsar 220cc DTS-i successfully with their technological superiority and pricing.

As part of the above said Bajaj’s plan, it will launch a new bike on 12th July. The new bajaj discover would be coded either DiscoverM or Discover K70. It is expected that new discover will come the engine displacement between 100cc and 110cc.

The full specification is unknown till date. It will have great competition with Splendor Plus, Passion Plus and Passion Pro as this bike is expected to be priced between Rs. 44,000 to Rs. 45,000.

New Bajaj Pulsar 150cc DTS-i UG4 - Review

Bajaj Auto has launched Pulsar 150cc DTS-i UG4 model with cosmetic changes. I did a test drive yesterday. I felt UG4 rocks than UG3 version of p150cc.

The embossed 3D pulsar logo on tank, absolute black treatment in all and tank scoops are visual changes on UG4 model. The other major change is on clutch assembly. Bajaj has modified the clutch plate assembly in UG4 as it is in the classical pulsar. The clutch was very smooth and flexible to operate.


Bajaj Auto has got good feedback for this clutch plate assembly change.

The XCD 135 DTS Si comes with an aerodynamically designed fuel tank coupled with digital instrumentation, LED tail lights, electric start and NITROX rear suspension. Bajaj to launch XCD Sprint135cc

Most of the riders have expressed disappointment on XCD 135cc after a year long wait for the XCD sprint. But those can breathe easy now! Few days after launching the XCD 135cc, Bajaj has again said the XCD sprint will come soon. Hope the following come true soon.

“The Yamaha FZ16 and the Honda Stunner are products that we should have watched out for. We will shortly launch the Sprint that will compete against the 125cc Stunner. We have to arrest the headway made by competition in these segments. It’s just a matter of time. We have the products to plug the gaps,” S Sridhar, CEO (two-wheelers), Bajaj Auto said on December 25th (four days after the XCD 135cc launch).

XCD Sprint 135cc DTS-Si will come with auto choke, gas-filled Nitrox shock absorbers, digital speedometer and LED tail lamps. Other significant features include electric-start and front disc-brake. .What makes the XCD Sprint 135cc DTS-Si is its compelling price tag. Bajaj says the price of the XCD Sprint will be approximately Rs45,000. “Bajaj Auto has a very strong position in the entry segment and the premium segment of the motorcycle market. With the launch of the Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si and two more new products in April and July, we aim to garner a strong position in the value segment,” Bajaj Auto general manager Amit Nandi said.

Bajaj Auto Ltd. comes up as the first Indian bike maker to bust the credit crunch myth by launching the all-new XCD 135 DTS-Si. This is the company's first launch in the series of six new launches it has promised in the span of next six months. The new "sporty commuter" bike, as the press release suggests, is aimed at riders for whom style is as important as fuel efficiency. It also promises a bit of a punch on the performance front, the bike being powered by a new 135cc engine incorporating Bajaj's swirl induction tech first seen on the XCD 125. Here's what the company release says about the new launch -

"Bajaj Auto Ltd. launched the all new sports commuter motorcycle, the Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si. Though meant for regular use this bike will be sporty both in its performance and in its styling. Inspired from the Bajaj Pulsar DTS-i, it looks and drives like a Pulsar-Junior. Aimed at the customers in the value segment looking for a sporty alternative, it will have many first-in-class features like a 135cc DTS-Si engine, a 5 speed gear box, auto choke, gas filled Nitrox absorbers, digital speedometer and LED tail lamps. Other significant features include electric-start and front disc-brake. With its 10.6PS engine, sporty styling, long feature-list and a price of approximately Rs. 45,000 ex-showroom it will be a very compelling alternative to all lesser performing and conservatively styled 100cc motorcycles in the value segment. Speaking on the launch, S.Sridhar, CEO two-Wheelers, Bajaj Auto said,"This bike is the first of our three launches in the value segment. We already have a very strong position in the entry and the premium segment of the motorcycle market, and now we will have an extremely strong line-up in the value segment as well."
