Royal Enfield Bullet Machismo 500 review, specifications

The first Monster Royal Enfield Bullet 500 was manufactured in 1965 with the top speed of 130kmph. When this motorbike came into market, it was such a pleasure, pride to have this. There was none other bikes to have competition with this Royal Bull. It was the only 4-stroke engine.

This motorbike was also come with diesel engine. Because of the extra vibration, noise and other factors, it was flopped. Now this motorbike is available only with petrol engine. Once Pulsar150, Fiero, CBZ and other bikes came into Indian bike market, Bullet sales was little down. It has started gaining the sales in recent years.
Royal Enfield Bullet 500ES
This motorbike stills keeps up the standards and changing the outlook accordingly. The thing is that you will be riding your Grandpa’s bike with new outlook of bike. Still engine remains the same.

The great advantage of this bike is you can travel even 500km without stopping it which you cannot travel with any other bike. When you ride this bike, I’m sure that you will feel like flying.

It gives great comfort and feeling to ride. At present Bullet is the only Indian bike in 500cc segment.

The Royal Enfield Bullet Machismo 500 has got displacement of 499cc with Single Cylinder, 4 Stroke, OHV, SI, and Air Cooled engine. It delivers the maximum power 23.6 bhp @ 5600rpm with the maximum torque of 40.85 Nm @ 3000rpm. What a power! Isn’t it? The only issue with this bike is poor mileage 30-33kmpl.

The price of this bike is Rs. 115,800.

New Bajaj Pulsar 220cc DTS-i Review, Features, Price

Bajaj Pulsar 220cc DTSi – A bike for the riders who are expecting to have a bike that’s rocking in all the way; whether it is performance, power, or handling in all the conditions.

The new Bajaj’s Pulsar 220 DTSi is equipped with fresh laid black top freeloading suspension (both front and rear) keeps the machine extremely neutral feel. It never goes to false or struck while changing the transmission. Thousands of tanks to new gearbox which is supplied by FCC Riko (a Honda company no less!). Throttling is been really great with 220 DTSi than the previous 220 DTS-FI. The overall suspension mechanism remains same but a slight tweak to the front scrape by a half degree.
New Bajaj Pulsar 220cc DTSi 2009 Edition
The modified stronger and larger front fork delivers solid and firmer feel which gives more strength, power at such high speed stability. Another great ingredient of Pulsar 220 DTSi is softer compound tyres. MRF have provided tyres with soft on rubber compound to increase the grip on the road without sacrificing the stiffness of the tyre which is undeniably the preeminent in two-wheeler sphere market.

Considering performance, Pulsar220 DTSi is going to be the most well behaved devil on two-wheelers. She gets you from 0 to 60kmph in just 3.8 seconds while 0 to 100kmph in 11.1 seconds. Even the dazzling tech laden Yamaha R15 is not capable to come within sniveling distance of the Pulsar 220 DTSi's tail pipe. And yes she reaches 138.5 at high speed. She has added almost 10 plus km from the previous p220.

The riding position still remains unbroken but with even more attentiveness to feature. It gives 42.1kmpl in city while she gives a fantastic mileage 52.9kmpl in highways. Overall it translates into a 44.8kmpl on an average fuel consumption which is really remarkable.

The Pulsar 220 DTSi is equipped great in deal; carbureted form makes 21.04ps at 8500rpm. It is just 1ps more than the previous FI form and the torque is 19.12nm at 7000rpm.

Quick shifts on transmission and the new clutch assists to ride long distance easily without any wavering.

It is priced just 70,000 /- ex-showrooms in New Delhi. Most of the bikers are planning to get a bike which is extremely powerful but compromising themselves to floor with other bikes by pricing. I’m sure that we can see more number of Pulsar 220 DTSi on roads.

Bajaj has again proved a winner in premium segment and keeping direct competition with the new TVS Apache RTR 180, Yamaha R15, Yamaha FZ series, Karizma. Definitely TVS, Yamaha and Hero Honda will face the heat of this aggressive launch from Bajaj.

Ergonomically the Pulsar 220 is the best in class and power and it continues to date since it stroked the Indian roads.

10 Tips to buy a Bike

Nowadays most of the youngsters are keen to buy a bike. But they are very confused in choosing one of the bikes in current market. If you see any forum or any bike review site, they would have reviewed the bikes and given suggestions for what to choose and why.

I have listed out few important points to be considered while buying a bike.

  • Check it out and do so with a motorcyclist friend in tow. Check if the motorcycle is clean and straight down centerline and forks
  • Take along a list of models and their pros and cons. Discuss the nuances with the friendly sales person; take a test ride if possible
  • Find out about gears, brakes, clutch, and all other mechanics
  • Determine engine specifics and details of fuel tank and wheels
  • Ask about the warranties and services; check about extend warranty if any
  • Get the details required accessories for the list of models which you have considered
  • Sit on all the bikes to get a feel of height and riding position
  • Get all the information about bike’s financing, types of bikes, bike care and more
  • If you are new to ride a bike and cannot control it easily, choose a light weight bike.
  • Take the bike from well recognized and reliable vendor

Never forget to review the bikes yourself. Choose the bike that suits you and not one which looks good or cool in the papers, magazines or any sites. A large part of selecting a bike is comfort and instinct. o that you get long hours of riding as well as comfort and safety.

Never choose a bike on first sight or visit. Take your time and to review the bikes in all perspective i.e. features, spec, price, warranty, services and many more.

So get all your thoughts and options together before you make a choice.

All the best to choose a bike that suits you!!!

New Bajaj Pulsar 150cc DTS-i UG4 - Review

Bajaj Auto has launched Pulsar 150cc DTS-i UG4 model with cosmetic changes. I did a test drive yesterday. I felt UG4 rocks than UG3 version of p150cc.

The embossed 3D pulsar logo on tank, absolute black treatment in all and tank scoops are visual changes on UG4 model. The other major change is on clutch assembly. Bajaj has modified the clutch plate assembly in UG4 as it is in the classical pulsar. The clutch was very smooth and flexible to operate.
New Bajaj Pulsar 150cc DTS-i UG4

Bajaj Auto has got good feedback for this clutch plate assembly change.

Definitely Pulsar rocks!!!
