Hosur (Tamil Nadu)-based TVS Motor Company will be launching the new Apache 180 RTR Menace by sometime this month. Exterior look of this bike remains same as Apache RTR 160 with minor changes on design. This new version of Apache RTR will have larger engine than the existing model and it will also be up on power to fight with its rivals in the premium segment. TVS Motor has been actively involved in road racing and motocross racing in India. The company has always incorporated technologies developed under years of racing onto their final commercial production models.

The main features of the TVS Apache RTR Menace 180 includes:
• Petal-shaped disc brakes
• Bigger RTR sticker on the tank scoops
• Naked chain cover
• LED tail lamps
• Clip on handlebar
• White back light for the speedometer
• Service and battery indicator
• Feature to test the top speed and 0 - 60kmph timing on the digital display
• RTR 180 logo near the clip-on’s
• Wider 110/80-17 rear tyre

With the premium segment slowly yet steadily noticing an increasing demand in the Indian market, all the Indian two-wheeler giants are readying up to launch a strong contender in this segment. It remains to be seen on how the market shapes up and who wins the performance battle. But we love this competition as it only gets better for the Indian biker.

The complete specification and other details will be uploaded soon. Add your comments about the competition at this segment.
